Smart, tricks

Last week:

Harith and his parents went to UMMC for his regular injections and check ups. I guess they had discussions about his progress and all sorts.

When they came home, I was told Professor Paul Tay (who had delivered him) commented the followings:
* Harith is supposed to start eating on his own.
* Harith is supposed to hold his milk bottle himself.
* Harith this, Harith that...

Okay, so we negotiated with him,

"If you don't want to hold the bottle yourself, you won't get this milk" as taught by Prof.

Hafiz tried in the morning. I tried in the afternoon.

Episode One:
When Hafiz tried, he let off the bottle, crying, sulking for a few minutes and had to be pacified, which took quite some time to be comforted. So, he won. Uncle Hafiz lost the first battle.

In the afternoon, I tried. Guess how he reacted? He gave similar little cry , putting away his hands, stiffen them and let off the bottle from his mouth. A few minutes later, he laughed and lied down on his tummy. Believe it or not? AND Like it or not, I had to put the milk bottle into his mouth and he finished the whole bottle lying tummy down without holding the bottle.

Okay, he won!

I thought he had forgotten the "deal"... so, this afternoon, he asked for the milk. When I was ready to feed him, he was already on his tummy. with hands stiff and putting by his sides. Hahahahaha, smart Harith. Okay, he won.

He knew IT! Had he hold the bottle, we would not be with him, by his side... clever little Amir Harith.

The look of victory on his face... "Yay! I triumphed!" said Harith

Hello Lady, how proud you must be for that child. I can not tell yet if you are the mother or the grant. Guess I will need to read down further to catch and to know you better. Blessings

Dear Aunty Emy,

That shows just how smart he is... Ali used to tease Anisah before he was even one. He would watch the TV with Anisah and after a while Anisah would find him missing. Anisah cried, called for mum and told her that Ali disappeared. And so a search had begun...

Guess where mum found him? Usually under tables or behind doors grinning from ear to ear. And he did not make even a single noise while mum and Anisah searched for him. :D\

I don't have the time to read the rest of your blog here in Terengganu but I'll read them when I reached KL.

Ha, you are in KT now... so, limited chances to the note book rite?

Don't worry, catch up on your visits once in KL... Before he was a year old, he usually made this sound whenever people came home from work..."shhhh, shhh, shhh" with the index finger at his lips.

Now, he is a real chatter box... trying a "fast talk" with his own language at the top of his voice...

Dear Aunty Emy,

Mum once told me that when I was 1 or 2 (can't recall), I used to fast talk in 'my own language' alone. To those who've never spoken English might think that it is. Sometimes my relatives would stare in awe at my 'amazing English'. Guess that's what they might think of Harith too.
