Harith and his parents went to UMMC for his regular injections and check ups. I guess they had discussions about his progress and all sorts.
When they came home, I was told Professor Paul Tay (who had delivered him) commented the followings:
* Harith is supposed to start eating on his own.
* Harith is supposed to hold his milk bottle himself.
* Harith this, Harith that...
Okay, so we negotiated with him,
"If you don't want to hold the bottle yourself, you won't get this milk" as taught by Prof.
Hafiz tried in the morning. I tried in the afternoon.
Episode One:
When Hafiz tried, he let off the bottle, crying, sulking for a few minutes and had to be pacified, which took quite some time to be comforted. So, he won. Uncle Hafiz lost the first battle.
In the afternoon, I tried. Guess how he reacted? He gave similar little cry , putting away his hands, stiffen them and let off the bottle from his mouth. A few minutes later, he laughed and lied down on his tummy. Believe it or not? AND Like it or not, I had to put the milk bottle into his mouth and he finished the whole bottle lying tummy down without holding the bottle.
Okay, he won!
I thought he had forgotten the "deal"... so, this afternoon, he asked for the milk. When I was ready to feed him, he was already on his tummy. with hands stiff and putting by his sides. Hahahahaha, smart Harith. Okay, he won.
He knew IT! Had he hold the bottle, we would not be with him, by his side... clever little Amir Harith.
