NATURE, ROOTS, GUESTS

We happen to find our dwelling surrounded by the mighty roots, old old roots from the old old trees around..

I just wonder how old this "Saga" tree aged.
The trunk and its roots surely looking scary and spooky...
It is only 10 feet away from the master bedroom (used to be mine before).
This old roots really scares me even during day time

They do look like snakes or creatures..

This is the aftermath of fierce stormy day.
The ground next door is covered by huge dried leaves.

That is not a water pipe line you know? Its the root from the tree outside our compound.

What a coincidence... the monkeys are sitting in the right spot... but these are taken a week apart.

Enjoying the cream crackers up on a tree

Ops! I have just missed one... either he went too fast or my old cam was too slow

He must be one of them up there

A new born... black hair and so tiny

That's him there in his mother's arms

He has more than one in his hands

Still surrounded by crackers.
He must be the leader... the others stay in a distance while he finishes his share.... BE my guests.
I live amongst the Nature and the Nature lives with me...
The Roots, grass, trees, plants, flowers, herbs, monkeys, squirrels, birds and bees

Wow...you certainly are "sharing your yard" with the monkeys. Is it fun?

Good morning! I love your pictures! I'm not sure why but I think the monkeys would be frightening!! Do they keep their distance or rush at you for food?
Thank you for your wonderful comments. I truly appreciate them and your well wishes. I'm taking it slow and will be as good as new soon. :) Have a wonderful weekend.

You live in a beautiful place. What wonderful sites you have surrounding you.

Ginnie,

It was fun if they arrived "nicely and politely". Sometimes they went beyond the norms... running away with our clothes up any tall trees or putting them above their heads. Funny? Nope!

We have to wash all those left behind and the next thing I knew... I would have my clothes hung in my bedroom which enjoys abundance of sunshine, morning and evenings.

Its fun when little ones entertains Harith by the sliding door's grill, jumping about and falling over somersault.

Laura,
HI, good morning. It's a Monday morning here already. Today is a public holiday to mark the Birth of Our Prophet, Muhammad Sallalloh hu Aiali Wassalam (S.A.W).

Nope! They don't rush for food to me. I threw the crackers through this window before they arrived.

Of course I am very scared of them. When I tried to woo them away with sticks, they would try to rush to me! Gosh! They are scary and wild.

Wish you well and take care.

Melody,

Yes, I have this fortune with the greens, birds and the bees around because I appreciate them all.

At least I get green lungs although living in the urban area.

Actually since I am locked in with my grandson, I have nothing better to do except appreciating what's around us.

We can't hang around outside and taking fresh air freely... most houses are empty during day time because they all go to work.

Prowlers are out and about. Monkeys are constantly outside...
Anyway, with strong sunshine, I have to keep away my face from more pigmentation/freckles.

It is always good for our health if we take time and enjoy what our Creator offers us - I mean the flora and fauna.

Just sit with your chin resting on your window and look around you...soon you will see birds of all colours flying around chasing after insects or just perching on twigs.

Trees too are wondertful to look at.

After that you know that all these do not exist by themselves!

Doc,

Yes, I realized these rare gifts to me... they are just outside my bedroom window facing the sundown.

Some strange creepers that hang down from other plants... looking like strings. The old ones became root-like or string-like, appearing very strong like the ones the tarzan in the movies, used to swing himself from a tree to tree.

HUGE money plants of are perching from another tree, looking so healthy and keep saying to me "Just look but don't take
me away!"

Bertuah Emy!
Dapat menikmati keindahan alam semula jadi.
Kedatangan tetamu tanpa diundang tu pun mencuit hati.....
Tertarik dengan pokok saga tu usianya mungkin lebih tua dari kita.

Alhamdulillah syukur!

Nikmat Allah datang berbagai bentuk. Apa yang kita suka, Dia bagi.. in abundance.

Poko saga tu agaknya 80 tahun ada kot... perhaps as old as University Malaya ni lah kot.

It is so interesting to see how nature differs in your part of the world from what I am used to seeing. I can't imagine seeing a monkey in a tree outside my window. The only time I see them is when I go to the zoo. Also, the bird in your previous post is beautiful. Do you know the name of it?

Thoroughly enjoyed your photos and lovely posts.

I so enjoyed your pictures. I remember the monkeys in India being great clothing thieves also! But they are cute and sooooo entertaining one can almost forgive them. As for the tree roots, they DO look eeerily like snakes and other dark things to me. My imagination is too rich to walk among them I fear!

Happy @ Home,

Thank you for dropping by...

The bird is King Fisher... it's quite big. and there is another one of yellow color but it seems very illusive and we have not been able to snap any pics yet.

Alice,

Yes, the old roots look creepy, very snake-like and so creature looking... I never went near the huge ones... I just took a peep outside and snap pictures...

Other houses around here has nothing of these sorts. Only this house has.

The monkeys? Yes, they are even more plentiful in the campus compound. They just multiply and multiply.

I dare not even go near them... scary... their fangs look so sharp. We close all windows when they come.
