GORGEOUS BLOGGER AWARD

Late last month, Friday October 30th 2009, Cathy of A Bit of the Blarney awarded me this cute little girl with a huge bunch of flowers... lemme name the flower.... posies? roses? carnations? with a label Gorgeous Blogger Award.  "Thank you very much!"  Cathy for your remembrance.   I guess I am somewhat close to your heart... But apologies for not able to play along sooner than I could.

And now I shall continue.

Here are the rules:

By accepting this award I am required to tell you six things about myself that you don't know and then award it to six other gorgeous bloggers.

1) I have 4 children born in 2 countries : England, the land of warm people and great places to visit and Malaysia the land of many races living together harmoniously with good food and wonderful culture to enjoy.

2) I became a grandma at the age of 53+ and officially became a grandson sitter at the age of 54.

3) I need to trim down before the age caught up with sicknesses such as ... NO!  I shall not mention any of  them.

4) I am hoping to continue with my voluntary work when the time permits.

5) I wish I am rich enough to get my son a very expensive camera... so  that he goes professional one day.

6) Wish I could sing without inviting the rain to come down...or making toads croaking even louder. hahahaha.

Now 6 bloggers to pass this award onto:

I shall be at home as most days are receiving torrential fall.  Flood affected areas have evacuated their residence and they are safe in the relief centers.  Soon we would be celebrating another religious festival called Eid al-l Adha.

Blessings and Cheers to all my visitors.  To my blogger friends, please enjoy the game.

Today, I broke my own promise not to log on until my beading project completes...

Something so unresisting as blogging could not afford any delays especially when my grandson sleeps longer than usual...

Which means, my sewing is kept away nice and tidy.

Congratulations on your award. Also Happy Holiday coming up. I read about the holiday. Sounds like the story, in our Old Testament about God asking Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac. I am so pleased to learn of your religion and culture through you. Blessings.

In Islam the son is Ishmael (Ismail). The event marked how great was Prophet's Abraham's love for Allah, more than his love for his long lost son and it also marked how great was the son's love for Allah that he obeyed Allah's order and voluntarily gave himself to be sacrificed...but Allah knew how obedience were Abraham and Ishmael that Allah replaced Ishmael with a sheep...

QMM,

Yes, similar stories and events as referred in the Holy Al Quran ... only we called Ismail by this name and the Old Testament called differently.

If you read the Al Quran with the English Translation, you would find great stories told in an extremely interesting manner. They covered our faith, pillars of Islam, our daily lives, rules and principals, explainable facts which today we called Science, Medicine and various other wonders including life after death which all the Muslims are apt to prepare themselves and that's the ultimate goal in our lives. Life on this earth is only temporary and short.

QMM, am glad you are a person with open minds and be able accept me as I am.

Cheers.

Hello RoyalTLady,
Well thank you so much for including my blog in your award list (blushing...). I will certainly play soon as I have been trying to get a bit organized after just returning from my trip to Silver Bella. I am still sorting, organizing, photographing, and still have a huge pile of stuff on my floor! I enjoyed looking at the chart of the stars you have posted. I like to look at the sky when it is full of stars, but never knew what any of them were.
Hugs,
Sharon :-)

Sharon,

glad you are back. Well, take your time and play along when you are ready. I have another award that I haven't done anything yet. It's too difficult to choose names from the blog list. Some bloggers might just feet too tired to play along...

But I for one, always enjoy it.

loves
